How to Submit an Event to the Calendar
CCS recognizes events including intrasquad*, dual, tri, invitational, regional championships, and national championship meets. Meets hosted by non-CCS teams may also be recognized. CCS teams in attendance of a meet hosted by a non-CCS team, including NCAA varsity teams, USMS teams, or local event directors, must act as the host by:
- Submitting the event to the calendar for approval.
- Obtaining the meet results file.
- Editing/adding the CCS swimmer ID to the results file.
- Submitting the results file to CCS within seven (7) days of the conclusion of the meet to CCS.
Common Mistakes When Submitting an Event
- The event order must match exactly to HyTek or the meet software.
- The course must be short course yards.
- The number of events entered must equal the number of events created.
Common Mistakes When Submitting Results
- No swimmer IDs entered. The CCS ID (5 character numeric format) must be entered in the meet entry file and included in the export.
- Ensure names are correctly spelled or preferred names are entered in a swimmers CCS profile. I.e. Johnathon vs John.
- Export a meet database backup, not just the results file.
- If any event order was changed in HyTek, it must be updated to match exactly in your CCS president account.
